What are clear aligners?
Clear aligners are a series of transparent, removable trays that gently move your teeth into position, a small step at a time. We use the Cerafin clear-aligner system — nearly invisible in daily life, and taken out for eating, brushing and photos.
Each set is planned from a 3D digital scan by an orthodontics specialist, so the movement is mapped out before you begin. For the right cases, aligners straighten teeth discreetly, comfortably and with fewer clinic visits than fixed braces.
Aligners are only as good as the plan
The trays are made from your treatment plan — so the specialist who designs that plan is what really shapes your result.
Planned by an orthodontics specialist
Your aligner plan is designed by a director with a Master's in Orthodontics and Cerafin & Damon training — not outsourced to a lab template.
3D digital scanning
A Trios intraoral scan maps your teeth precisely and previews the movement — no uncomfortable impression trays.
Aligners or braces — honestly
We recommend what actually fits your case. If braces would be faster or more effective for you, we say so up front.
The technology behind your aligners
Accurate aligners start with accurate 3D records. These are the tools we use to plan and produce your treatment.

Trios 5 Scanner
A digital intraoral scanner that captures your teeth precisely to plan and produce your aligners — no messy impression trays.

Osstem T2 Plus CT
3D cone-beam CT that images your teeth, roots and jaw for a thorough orthodontic diagnosis when needed.

Clear aligners or braces?
Both straighten teeth well — the best choice depends on your case, not on marketing. Here's the honest comparison.
Clear aligners suit you if…
- You have mild to moderate crowding or spacing
- You want a nearly invisible, removable option
- You'll commit to wearing them 20–22 hours a day
- You prefer fewer, shorter clinic visits
- Appearance during treatment matters to you
Braces may be better if…
- Your case is complex or the movement is large
- You need significant bite or jaw-relationship correction
- You'd rather not manage removable trays
- Certain tooth rotations are hard for aligners alone
We'll tell you honestly which fits — and you can see our braces & orthodontics options too.
How much do clear aligners cost in Busan?
Cerafin clear aligners at Baro Dental cost ₩3,000,000–6,000,000 depending on case complexity and the number of aligners you need. The ₩100,000 orthodontic diagnosis — records, digital scan and plan — is deducted from your treatment cost if you proceed. Foreign patients pay the same published fees as Korean patients, and the written estimate we send on WhatsApp is the price you pay.
How long does clear aligner treatment take?
It depends on how far your teeth need to move. Limited corrections of the front teeth can finish in a matter of months, while comprehensive crowding, protrusion or bite cases typically take longer — your aligner count tells us the timeline before you start. Aligners are changed at home on schedule, so check-ups can be spaced for travelers.
Can I do clear aligners if I live abroad?
Yes — aligners suit international patients well. The diagnosis, scan and fitting happen in Busan; after that you change aligners yourself on schedule, send progress photos on WhatsApp, and we time in-person reviews around your trips to Korea. We are honest about which cases need visits too frequent for this to work.
Are clear aligners cheaper than braces in Korea?
Not always. At Baro Dental, metal braces cost ₩4,300,000 while Cerafin aligners run ₩3,000,000–6,000,000 — a simple aligner case can cost less than braces, and a complex one more. The honest answer is that your diagnosis decides: we quote both options where both would work, and tell you plainly when only one fits your case.
Who aligners suit — and who they don’t.
A good fit if you…
- have crowding, spacing or mild-to-moderate bite problems
- want correction that is nearly invisible at work
- can wear aligners 20–22 hours a day, consistently
- live abroad and can visit Busan for key milestones
- want the plan and the full cost fixed before you start
Better with braces — or beyond aligners — if you…
- need large tooth movements aligners handle poorly — we’ll say so and quote braces instead
- have a skeletal jaw discrepancy that needs surgical correction — we refer honestly rather than over-promise camouflage
- know you won’t keep trays in 20+ hours a day
- have untreated gum disease or decay — that comes first, at published prices

Clear aligner FAQ
Most cases take about 6–18 months, depending on how much your teeth need to move. Mild spacing or minor crowding can finish faster; more involved cases take longer. After a 3D scan we give you a realistic timeline for your case — and since aligners need fewer in-person visits, much of it can suit an international schedule.
Yes — Cerafin is an established clear-aligner system, and for suitable cases it moves teeth predictably. What matters most is the treatment plan behind the trays, which is why an orthodontics specialist designs yours. For cases aligners can't fully handle, we recommend braces instead rather than over-promise.
Around 20–22 hours a day — essentially all the time except eating, drinking anything but water, and cleaning your teeth. Aligners only work while they're in, so consistency is the single biggest factor in finishing on time. If that sounds hard to keep up, braces may suit you better, and we'll talk it through.
Very often, yes. Teeth that shifted back after old braces (relapse) are one of the most common — and satisfying — aligner cases, since the movement needed is usually small. Send us photos on WhatsApp and we'll tell you whether a short aligner course would sort it out.
It depends on your case. Aligners are ideal for mild-to-moderate crowding or spacing and for anyone who wants a discreet, removable option. Braces are often better for complex movements or significant bite correction. Our orthodontics specialist gives you an honest recommendation — we won't push aligners where braces would serve you better.
They're generally comfortable, with no brackets or wires to irritate your cheeks. You'll feel mild pressure for a day or two each time you move to a new tray — a sign the teeth are moving — which quickly settles. Most people find it far gentler than they expected.
Cerafin clear aligners range from ₩3,000,000 to ₩6,000,000 depending on complexity and how many aligners your case needs. A ₩100,000 orthodontic diagnosis fee covers your records and plan and is deducted from the treatment cost if you proceed. You'll get a firm figure after your scan — with no hidden add-ons.
Briefly, for most people. A slight lisp on "s" sounds is common in the first days as your tongue adjusts to the trays, and it typically fades within a week or two of consistent wear. If you have an important presentation or event, tell us — we'll plan your start date around it.
